2023 All Stars Summary:

The 2023 MSL All Stars meet is in the books! 
Congratulations to all of the swimmers who not only qualified, but excelled today in their races.

It was an exciting day, including the blustery wind that kept us all bundled up longer than we would like, and kept the computer desk folks on their toes. (Special thanks to the swimmers who had to hop into the pool more than once to retrieve a wayward clipboard!)

According to the scoring report, there were 249 best times this year for a total time drop of 208 seconds in individual events. Add to that 7 pool records broken and only ONE DQ recorded, and it was an inspiring day of swimming. What a great opportunity for our fastest swimmers to test themselves against the league’s best! I loved hearing the teams cheering for their swimmers during the events, and I know that outside of individual teams, there is a sense of camaraderie amongst all of the swimmers.

It was a unique challenge for our team (Rolling Hills), with a relatively inexperienced board and who have hosted exactly two home dual meets this year after a three year break with no meets hosted, to host such an important meet at a pool that we are not familiar with. We could not have pulled it off without the incredible generosity and leadership of the Tidalwaves crew.

We are so thankful to you for all of the help and support – and we learned so much! It was also an honor to work with all of the MSL reps, presidents, coaches, and especially the volunteer coordinators – your volunteers all showed up on time and ready to work!. A successful day for the entire league!
